The Chequers, together with 1 acre was with Fish Street Farm in 1766. It probably dates from the 16th century. Unfortunately the Chequers was badly damaged by fire in late 2004 but has now been re-furbished. 30 Nov 2005 Out of the Ashes Day Events will be held to raise money for the National Firemens Benevolent Fund Opening Times Beer Wines and Spirit Food 11am to 10pm See also: Three Mills And Two Rivers Walk, Public Houses.
