St Luke’s School is a specialist Science and Humanities college.   As a day community school for young people aged 9 – 16 years, we aim to create a happy and safe learning environment for students with complex moderate learning difficulties, including those with autistic spectrum conditions and social communication difficulties.

We pride ourselves on our partnership working with all stakeholders, including our families, other schools, the local community and multi-agency work.  We have a special link with Heathlands School for the Deaf, which has a base at St Luke’s.

St Luke’s embraces ‘Every Child Matters’, and this is embedded in everything we do.

Within these pages we have attempted to show and describe the nature of our work and the needs of the students we serve. We have also tried to describe the location and facilities of the school, and the curriculum we provide.

The staff and governors are committed to the learning and development needs of all students. We have therefore tried to give an insight into the things we believe in, our expectations of the students and the developments in provision we are currently striving to achieve.
