Redbourn Physiotherapy Clinic has a team of Chartered Physiotherapists along with a Podiatrist, Pilates Instructors, personal trainer, and a Therapeutic Massage Therapist.

Physiotherapy is the assessment and treatment of all kinds of neuro-musculo-skeletal problems through the correction of movement abnormalities using joint mobilisation and manipulation, massage, electrotherapy, postural advice and exercise. Muscles, joints, nerves and ligaments all work together to make a healthy body, but the balance can be upset by injury, disease or misuse. A chartered physiotherapist is an expert in the examination of body movement and postural problems using an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and physiology. A chartered physiotherapist has completed a three or four year full time comprehensive degree course, covering most aspects of medicine including orthopaedics, rheumatology, neurology, sports medicine, respiratory care and paediatrics. This wide-ranging knowledge of body structure and function equips the physiotherapist to form a physical diagnosis considering all possible sources of the patient’s problem. All the physiotherapists at Redbourn Physiotherapy Clinic have undertaken recognised post-graduate training to qualify as ‘manipulative physiotherapists’ and offer a very high level of expertise to their patients.

They have a specialised ability to diagnose and treat problems in the musculo-skeletal system. Manipulative physiotherapy focuses on ‘hands on’ treatment to mobilise the stiff and painful areas of the body, and the prescription of exercises to maintain and improve body function.

Redbourn Physiotherapy Clinic can be found at the south end of the High Street near the Fish Street junction. Patients are very welcome to pop in at any time or can be referred by their GP or Consultant; you can normally be seen within 24 hours. The Clinic is an enthusiastic friendly team of professionals aiming to reach the needs of each individual.
