The Redbourn Horticultural Show, organised by Redbourn in Bloom, was held on 9th September. The difficult growing conditions earlier in the year had an effect on the number of entries, but a good show was enjoyed by exhibitors and spectators alike, with 85 classes contested.
Viic Henry won the Championship Trophy for most points scored in all classes: he also won the Maurice Webb Trophy for the most points in the flower classes and the trophy for the best exhibit in the flower classes. Other prizewinners were:

Best exhibit in Vegetable or Fruit classes: Graham Goldring
Best exhibit in Floral Arrangement Classes: Linda Gates
Greenleas Cup for most points in the Novice Flower and Vegetable classes: Darren Jenkins
Centenary Cup for most points in the Husehold classes: Annette Aggett
Redbourn Allotment Association Cup for most points in the Vegetable classes: Bill Jones
Ann Skillman Shield for best exhibit in the Household and Craft classes: Diane Whiskin
Reg Finlay Trophy for most points in the Dahlia classes: Gail Thomas
Zena Skinner Children's Cup for best exhibit in the children's classes: William Balmer
We hope that the enthusiasm shown at the Horticultural Show carries over to give us a good attendance at theRedbournInBloom AGM, to be held on Monday 11th September at 8.00 pm in the Centenary Suite of the Village Hall.
