Redbourn Guiding
Redbourn currently has a Rainbow Unit for girls aged 5 to 7 which meets on a Tuesday evening and two Brownie Units for girls aged 7 to 10 which run on Monday and Tuesday evenings. We would also like to set up a Guide Unit in the Village and are on the look out for Guiders to do this.
Rainbow and Brownie meetings often consist of games, craft, team-building activities and theme evenings. In Brownies we work towards interest badges as a unit, but the girls are also encouraged to complete some of their own choice at home.
We participate in events along with the Scouting movement in the Village, including Harvest parade and service at the Methodist Church, Christingle service at St Marys and Remembrance Day parade.
During the year we try to include the village and community in our meetings. Most recently the Officers at Redbourn Fire Station taught the Monday night Brownies about Fire Safety and all the girls received their Fire Safety Badge. All three units are always on the look out for other people with skills that we can use in the units.
Please feel free to contact myself if you have a daughter you would like to put on our waiting list (its never too early!!) or if you would like to know more about how you could help Redbourns Guiding movement.

Mini-Gang Show! In the Autumn term we worked jointly with the other Brownies, Guides and Rainbows in Redbourn, Markyate and Flamstead on a Mini-Gang Show for the Parents of our girls. The girls worked hard to learn the songs and dances and earned thier Dancer and Entertainer Badges. It was a long and busy day, but the show went really well. All the girls involved made a huge effort and really enjoyed themselves. (Photos from S pledger)
