‘We need you’
- We need Leaders for Beavers, Cubs & Scouts
- We need Non-leaders in a variety of roles
Redbourn Scout Group is a thriving and dynamic group with Beavers (6-8 yrs), Cubs (8-10yrs) and Scouts (10-14Yrs), as well as our own hut. As ever there are more children wanting to join the Group than adults to lead.
All leaders receive Scout Association training and the rewards of working with the children of the village are many. This year (2006), the Scouts have been to Iceland, both Cub packs have been on camps under canvas and the Beavers are looking forward to their first sleepover. All sections run an exciting and varied programme of activities throughout the year too.
Several of our current leaders and non-leaders are leaving and we are faced with the perennial problem of trying to find willing and enthusiastic volunteers to replace them. We need leaders for Beavers, Cubs & Scouts and Non-leaders to help make up our executive committee. Who are responsible for finances, stores, transport, grounds & hut maintenance & fund raising.
The continued success of the group and indeed its very existence depends on the continued support from volunteers.
