RETIREMENT OF PC 548 CLAYTON on 18/11/12, after 30 plus years service
It is with mixed emotions that I have finally decided to take up my entitlement to retire from the Police, after 30 plus years service. This decision has not come easily to me and I have deliberated long and hard, before making it. I have very much enjoyed being the Neighbourhood Officer for Redbourn and will have many good memories. Redbourn has been both a challenging and rewarding place to Police and I have no doubt that I will miss many aspects of my work and many of the people I have got to know in the process. I would like to thank all of you who have accepted me and supported me and made me feel welcome. I can only apologise that it will not be possible to speak to all of you individually before I leave. I will be at the Redbourn Fireworks event and Remembrance Sunday Parade and also intend to announce a date when I will be at the Police Office, should anyone want to drop in for a chat before I hang up my Police Hat.
I am pleased to announce that PC Jane FLEMONS will be replacing me. Jane has previously been a Neighbourhood Officer and is looking forward to taking on the role.
