Dr Henry Stephens lived at 38 High Street and also at
The Bull Pub

Henry Stephens
His father was landlord of
The Bull Pub
. He was apprenticed to Dr Wingfield at Markyate and later studied at St Thomas London, qualifying in 1816. He was a friend of John Keats. After being a Redbourn Doctor for a number of years he moved to London in 1828. As a Doctor he lived at 38 High Street and is also known for Stephen’s Blue Black Ink. He died on Farringdon Station in 1864.
