Gardening for Wildlife

On February 20th, RIBHS members and friends packed the Centenary Suite to hear David Bevan's illustrated talk on Gardening for Wildlife. He highlighted the large decline in numbers of species in his lifetime, both flora and fauna. in particular, animals (and plants) displaced by changes in farming practices over the last 50 years or so. Our gardens often represent the last refuge for these species, and he offered advice on how we could improve their chances of survival if we managed our gardens suitably.
