HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES?
Do you live within four minutes of the village Fire Station?
Would you like to give something back to your local community?
If the answer is yes, then I would like to hear from you. We are currently recruiting for Retained (Part Time) Firefighters at Redbourn Fire Station – a rewarding role in the heart of the community.
You need to live within four minutes of Redbourn Fire Station in the High Street, be over 18 years old with a current full driving licence. You also need to have fairly good all round fitness but there is no upper age limit and all members of the community are invited to apply.
In return you will receive regular training, an increased skill base and career progression. All retained Firefighters are given a basic annual retaining fee as well as additional fees for call outs and weekly training nights.
Retained Firefighters are a pivotal part of the community that they serve. It is quite a commitment as most Retained Firefighters have full time jobs but are still able to respond to calls when they are not working. If you can be available during the day it’s even better as emergencies can happen at any time.
Within the Herts Fire and Rescue Service we have Men and Women from all walks of life serving as Retained Firefighters.
You will be working as part of a team of dedicated professionals and your training will make you an asset to your employer and the community.
If you think that you might have what it takes to be a Retained Firefighter, please contact me on 07796 997382 or Service Headquarters on 01992 507507
