We stock a comprehensive range of homoeopathic remedies and aromatherapy products, together with books and free leaflets advising on their use.
Aids for the Handicapped
We can supply products to aid handicap living. Wheelchairs and commodes can be hired. Popular aids for the kitchen, for eating and for bathrooms can also be purchased. Please enquire regarding your specific requirements.
Dispensing Prescription Medicines:
We dispense both NHS and Private prescriptions. The medicine containers will be labelled with your name, how to take your drugs and will advise on necessary precautions, for example, avoidance of alcohol etc.
Unless we are asked not to, tablets and capsules are dispensed in child resistant containers. We can also cater for the elderly and confused by offering special containers with daily/weekly doses clearly marked.
To keep safety in mind we will keep records of the medicines we dispense for you, therefore when you bring subsequent prescriptions to us we will ensure that you can take new medicines safely along with others you are currently taking.
Housebound Patients - If you are housebound and unable to visit us to get your prescription dispensed we can arrange for your medicines to be delivered to you at home. To find out more about this service please ask for further details. ( Redbourn Care Group can also help with collection and delivery of prescriptions.)
Urgent Prescriptions - We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for prescriptions that have been marked Urgent by your doctor. For security reasons contact has to be made through the police. Simply phone the police and ask them to contact us on your behalf

To save you time and inconvenience we can collect your prescription from your doctor’s surgery and dispense it ready to collect.
Repeat prescription requests can be left with us to be sent to your doctor and the prescription collected by us. The medicine is normally available within 3 working weekdays. (eg repeat requests left on a Friday can be collected the following Wednesday under normal circumstances.)
Equipment for surgeries
A comprehensive range of medical equipment for surgery or clinical use is obtainable to order, with delivery normally within a few days.

Pregnancy Tests
We have available testing kits for you to purchase to use at home. Alternatively you may wish to bring us a small sample of your early morning urine and we can usually test this while you wait.

Henry Pitkin, Druggist, was probably using 70 High Street site in 1839. James Harrison (born Suffolk) was Chemist & Druggist in Redbourn High Street in 1851.
