The CISS offers a confidential information and support service to anyone affected or concerned about cancer.

Professional and trained voluntary staff are on hand to provide information and support at any stage of the diagnosis and through treatment.

Other Support

• A letter answering service. If you prefer write to us with your enquiries.
• An extensive lending library of reference books, videos and audio-tape.
• Information booklets and leaflets to take away.
• Assisted access to the internet, (by appointment)
• Information and support at hospital Oncology Clinics: Hemel Hempstead General on Monday afternoons, and St Albans City Hospital on Tuesday afternoons.
• Referrals can be supported to other services, at Grove House, as appropriate.

Family Support Service

A confidential Counselling and Family support service.

• Individual Counselling.
• Group Work.
• Play Therapy ( for children 4-11)
• Information, advice and support for patients and Health Care Professionals.

People are Generally seen at Grove House although we can offer home visits to the Housebound.
